The NFGB National Bakbakan 11Stag Derby invaded Metro Manila yesterday with a barrage of topnotch competitions in different cockpits.
The Pasay City Cockpit staged 82 fights, while the Del Monte Cockpit in Malabon and the Texas Cockpit Arena presented 93 and 162 matches, respectively.
Among the latest qualifiers with 6.5 points were 2005 Bakbakan champion Al Garcia, president of Gamefowl Breeders Association of Negros, and Joey delos Santos of Laguna.
The Bakbakan fever will hit the Roligon Mega Cockpit as national eliminations unwrap on Monday and Wednesday.
In the provinces, Bakbakan will be held today at Vargas Sports Coliseum (Tuguegarao), Santiago Cockpit Arena (Isabela), Royal Cockpit (Palawan), Oas Cockpit (Albay) , Iloilo Coliseum, Nadongholan Cockpit (Ormoc), Guanzon Coliseum (Bacolod ), Talisay Sports Complex (Cebu), Limcua and Juanay Cockpit (Tagbilaran), Zamboanga Square Garden and Alkor Gallera (Sultan Kudarat).
The 2011 Bakbakan is supported by B-Meg Derby Ace, Thunderbird Enertone, Ninja Feeds, Sagupaan Superfeeds, Supremo, Belamyl, Washout Shampoo, Excellence and Salto Feeds.
